We are honouring this great composer for his 250th birthday with an Edition of our Beethoven Model. The cornerstone for this design had been laid back in 2013, to commemorate the 14th International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna and the 185th anniversary of our Piano Manufactury.

The Bösendorfer Secession Grand takes up this symbol of bay leaves in ornamented form from the façade. Gold-plated with 23-carat gold, the leaves on the inside of the lid shine, as does the gold-plated cast iron frame.The model Secession captivates in size 214VC Vienna Concert Grand with brilliant sound and sheer inexhaustible tone colours. As a collector’s item, the design is limited to 21 instruments. 

With sophisticated reprographic techniques the high resolution image of the original painting was reproduced on the inside of the Bösendorfer Grand Piano lid. Furthermore, the Klimt painting has been refined by the skilled application of gold leaf. The Klimt model is limited to 25 instruments and each Grand Piano carries an individually crafted brass plate. 

For the creation of its newest piano, Bösendorfer worked with international artist Franco Castelluccio and entrepreneur Richard Kessler — owner of the highly acclaimed Grand Bohemian boutique hotels and a passionate art collector — resulting in a piano which is as much a work of art as it is a musical instrument.

The Oscar Peterson Signature Edition Grand was created in collaboration with the “Estate of Oscar Peterson” which preserves Peterson’s legacy. It is limited to 12 Bösendorfer Grands and is available in size 200 to 214VC . 

Jean Cocteau was a French writer, designer, playwright, artist and filmmaker. The Collector’s Grand is design for model size 200 and 214VC. It can be ordered in either black or white polyester with chrome fittings and a silver colored frame and is limited to 12 pieces.

The use of different types of wood for designing ornaments as well as flower and animal motives has always been a symbol of extravagance and luxury. Limited to 18 Model 200 grand pianos in polished black, each instrument from this series is given an individually numbered brass plaque.

Our model “Butterfly” with its exceptional marquetry work is a tribute to the magnificent gardens of both the Schönbrunn and Hofburg Palaces. This edition is limited to 9 pianos, each numbered on a brass plate.
